Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has evolved into the primary treatment of aortic aneurysms. Compared with open repair, this minimally invasive treatment is associated with favorable perioperative morbidity and mortality. However, during long-term follow-up, complications and reinterventions occur regularly. Late complications include stent migration, endoleaks, limb occlusion, infection and rupture. Yearly follow-up is recommended to identify and treat these late complications to obtain positive long-term results. Reducing the risk of late complications begins with proper patient selection based on anatomic factors, including the length, diameter and angulation of the neck as well as the diameter and tortuosity of the iliac.

The scope of this Special Issue is to evaluate aortic aneurysm morphology and the impact on outcomes following endovascular repair.
