Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Lung ultrasound has emerged as a valuable diagnostic tool in the field of medicine, providing crucial insights into the evaluation and management of various pulmonary conditions. This technique utilizes sound waves to create real-time images of lungs, allowing for the rapid and non-invasive assessment of lung structure and function.

The scope of lung ultrasound in making diagnoses is vast, encompassing a wide range of respiratory conditions. It serves as an effective tool for evaluating and diagnosing common pulmonary ailments, including pneumonia, bronchitis, and pulmonary edema. Lung ultrasound also aids in the identification of pleural effusions, pneumothorax, and interstitial lung diseases.

In summary, our Special Issue aims to provide references for rapid, accurate, and cost-effective assessments of lung pathologies, demonstrating that lung ultrasound is an essential tool for clinicians worldwide in the early detection and management of respiratory diseases.
