Energy System Design

A section of Designs (ISSN 2411-9660).

Section Information

Green energy is indispensable to the welfare of the future society—hence the global tendency to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. Such a change, however, is fraught with major technological, economic, environmental and social challenges, which require the creative mind of engineers for solutions. Energy System Design, with its special focus on the engineering, design, and control of sustainable energy systems, aims to provide engineers with novel ideas regarding the efficient and robust functioning of energy systems.

Topics of interest for publication in the section include, but are not limited to, the following:

Power Systems:

  • Distribution and transmission of Energy System Design;
  • Control and operation of Modern Power Grids;
  • Energy system management, planning, and economics;
  • Energy system operation, protection, and control;
  • Computer applications and computational intelligence in Energy System Designs;
  • Green transition.

Power Electronics:

  • Design and control of DC/DC, AC/DC, AC/AC, and DC/AC Power Converters;
  • EMI in power electronics;
  • Adjustable speed drives;
  • Power quality and utility applications;
  • Machines and drives for electrically powered vehicles;
