Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, we are pleased to announce the winner of the 2018 Crystals Travel Awards. It has been granted to: Dr. Wenhao Sun, a postdoctoral researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, USA. His work involves developing new thermodynamic frameworks and density functional theory (DFT)-based tools to investigate solid-aqueous phase equilibria at the nanoscale, competitive nucleation, and constrained equilibria.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students, research fellows;
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2018. (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information of the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– Curriculum Vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status.
