Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of Ceramics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Ceramics Travel Award 2020.

The Award has been granted to Dr. Mattia Biesuz, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento, Trento, Italy. Dr. Biesuz’s research interests include flash sintering, cold sintering, polymerderived ceramics, ceramics joining, and high-entropy materials. He will attend the “Materials Science and Engineering, MSE” conference (Darmstadt, Germany, 22–25 September 2020).

The winner will receive 500 Swiss Francs and a voucher of 1000 Swiss Francs to publish in Ceramics.

With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for their submissions covering a diverse and fascinating range of research topics and congratulate the winner on his accomplishments.
