Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a call for submissions to a Special Issue of Cancers focusing on "Advancements in Personalized Radiation Therapy for Head and Neck Cancer". Head and neck cancer remains a significant health concern worldwide, causing substantial morbidity and mortality. The aim of this Special Issue is to explore the advancements and challenges in the field of personalized radiation therapy, specifically tailored to address the complexities of head and neck cancer treatment.

Traditionally, non-metastatic head and neck cancers have been managed through various treatment modalities, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. However, the effectiveness of radiation therapy greatly depends on personalized approaches that consider individual patient characteristics, tumor biology, and treatment responses. This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest research and clinical progress in developing personalized radiation therapy strategies for head and neck cancer, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and reducing treatment-related toxicities.

We invite the submission of original research articles and reviews covering all aspects of personalized radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, novel radiation techniques, biomarkers for treatment response prediction, treatment planning optimization, fractionation schemes, and the integration of radiation therapy with other treatment modalities. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure their scientific rigor and quality.

By gathering cutting-edge research and insights in personalized radiation therapy for head and neck cancer, this Special Issue aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering advancements in treatment strategies and ultimately improving the lives of patients affected by this challenging disease.
