Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues
The Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI), in partnership with the Department of Architectural Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, is pleased to announce the 2013 AEI Conference. The conference will include workshops, technical paper sessions, invited and keynote presentations, panel discussions, and local tours of technical interest. The conference is geared towards a balance between academics and practitioners. It will benefit professionals because, in addition to learning about the latest technical developments in architectural engineering research, they will also be able to participate in meetings of the AEI's technical committees, an industry exhibition, and to interact with architectural engineering students from around the world. Students will benefit from attending the conference as it will include opportunities to interact with leaders of the architectural engineering industry, partake in student meetings and elections, and participate in the finals of the 2011-2012 ASCE Charles Pankow Annual Architectural Engineering Student Competition. Many AEI partner organizations, educational institutions, and sponsoring firms are expected to participate in the conference. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to learn about these organizations, while learning new and relevant architectural engineering topics that will help them advance their careers, their respective organizations and the overall architectural engineering profession.
The conference covers all aspects of Architectural Engineering. Papers are invited from both practitioners and researchers on the following and related topics:
