Prof. Dr. Wei-Hsin Chen Appointed as Section Editor-in-Chief of “Artificial Intelligence and Smart Energy” Section in Energies

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Wei-Hsin Chen has been appointed as Section Editor-in-Chief of the “Artificial Intelligence and Smart Energy” section in Energies (ISSN 1996-1073).

Professor Wei-Hsin Chen is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He was the visiting professor of Princeton University, University of New South Wales, University of Edinburg, University of British Columbia, and University of Lorraine. His main research areas are green energy and fuel for sustainability. He has published 670 papers with an H-index of 57 (Web of Science) and over 10,000 citations. His research has a huge impact on biomass torrefaction. In this field, his number of papers, citations, and highly cited papers globally account for 4.2%, 10.5%, and 25%, respectively. He is the associate editor and editorial board member of several prestigious international journals, and the guest editor of over 10 international journals. He has published 10 books and chapters concerning energy science and air pollution. He received the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 Highly Cited Researcher (Web of Science), 2015 and 2018 Outstanding Research Award (Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan), 2015 and 2020 Highly Cited Paper Award (Applied Energy, Elsevier), 2017 Outstanding Engineering Professor Award (Chinese Institute of Engineers), 2019 Highly Cited Review Article Award (Bioresource Technology, Elsevier), 2020 Top Download Paper Award (International Journal of Energy Research, Wiley), etc.
