Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Journal-Team,

the interesting and comprehensive review 'GSK3ß Activity in Reward Circuit Functioning and Addiction' describes the hormonal and cellular regulation patterns of the central molecule glycogen synthase kinase for brain cellular functioning and formation. The manuscript is well written. Tables and figures are sufficient.

Minor points: 1. Please include legends into the figures for explanation of the used abbreviations, although mentioned in the text.

2. Abstract, third line from the bottom: Please change to 'we describe'.

3. Please check the references according to the Journal Style Guidelines for small and capital letters in the title and journal name.

b) Reference 12 need to be checked for journal name (J Cell Sci).

c) References 53, 151, 214, 227, 238 need to be checked for author names.

d) Reference 153 is not sufficient for access.

f) Following references are the same: 27 and 124, 29 and 122, 35 and 39, 48 and 204, 78 and 79, 95 and 107, 113 and 129, 116 and 118, 127 and 164, 168 and 171, 128 and 184 and 207, 130 and 174 and 186, 142 and 147, 150 and 209, 170 and 178 and 180 and 182 and 185, 186 and 194, 198 and 244, 206 and 208, 212 and 245, 240 and 243.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript submitted from Jakub Turlik et al., entitled "GSK3β Activity in Reward Circuit Functioning and Addiction", is interesting and well written.

The authors elegantly described in detail the kinase action in reward circuit-related structures in health and disease. The article is original comparing with other review in literature, well structured, and clear. The references are extensive and specific.
