Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors and Editor. First of all, sorry for my delay in responding, at my university we have had technical difficulties with cyber attacks and our computers were with the IT guys.

Regarding your work, I think it is a very interesting research and brings light on the reading process. From the methodological point of view, the study is perfect, but you have to improve the quality of tables and figures. CMA does not provide very clearly the funnel and forest figures. But the tables should be reworked according to the journal's criteria so that they are not blurred. Likewise, figure 1 of the flow chart is not the one proposed by PRISMA, although it is well done and follows the same principles. But PRISMA's is more aesthetic and it is important to take care of these aspects. Finally, add references that justify the inclusion and exclusion criteria together with the use of the Egger test, i.e. methodology references. The work is very well constructed and you will have no difficulty in publishing it.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is very well written. It has the proper structure and content layout and meets all scientific article criteria. The chosen topic is significant in terms of cognitive value. The methodological solutions implemented deserve recognition. They are very well described. At the same time, it may be worth considering supplementing the discussion section. The reader may expect a deeper reflection on the limitations of the applied methods and the sugestions for future research using meta-analysis. Another issue is to place greater emphasis on explanation. Meta-analyses also serve to build/verify theories. Unfortunately, this thread remains in the background. Overall, I highly value the scientific value of this article and recommend its publication with conviction.

Comments for author File: Comments.pdf

The selection and tense of verbs is frequently incorrect. See noted examples on Reviewer comments document.

"Parent involvement ways" should be "Forms of parental involvement"

"lack seriously" should be "seriously lacking

There are more instances that need attention, an English editor is recommended.
