Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article is an extensive theoretical study. The relevance of this work lies in the need for reflection and generalization of the experience of implementing distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The author(s) described in detail and justified the research procedure, methods and purpose, as well as presented the conclusions of the theoretical study in a reasoned manner.

Recommendations for the section "Conclusions". The work will be qualitatively complemented by the author's position on the prospects for the study of the stated topic, taking into account the described generalizations, revealed facts and limitations of the studies under consideration. The practical significance of the article will increase if the author indicates his own position on the research directions of the topic, significant methodological and methodical aspects in the study of this topic.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is interesting, relevant ,devoted to a review of other people's research. But the analysis of 20 scientific papers does not fully reflect the consequences of online learning. It is necessary to increase the representation of scientific works. The geography of the analyzed articles is also not clear. This is an important factor for such a global generalization of the consequences of distance learning during covid 19. 2. The experts who participated in the content analysis procedure are not described.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript has got a theoretical design. Authors decided to analyze studies, which were focusing on the problematic of COVID-19 pandemic situation and the factors, which were influencing learning process. The theoretical studies are little bit demanding for authors, because there are many possibilities, which could make the process of creating manuscript very hard to write. After reading of this manuscript, I can say, that manuscript is written on relatively high level. I have got only three comments, which implementation into the manuscript should be easy.

1. Please explain, why you choose SCOPUS database, not Web of Science.

2. The result part includes many kinds of information, please add some summarizing table for the better understanding and orientation in the text,

3. Please read carefully whole text and revise it. It includes some typographical errors. And also revise references and use only one citation norm.

I hope my comments are helpful.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for your comments, we have corrected the article and are sending it to you.

SCOPUS was preferred and used rather than the Web of Science (WoS) database because it met our following selection criteria:

  1. it is a high-validity base of scientific (re)sources; in terms of type and purpose, both SCOPUS and WoS are bibliographic, multidisciplinary, and selective. Both databases (DBs) index only the highest level and quality literature sources, selected and repeatedly reviewed and updated following the strict criteria system.
  2. it is a convenient tool for extracting data for research and analysis. We must note that Scopus is an excellent bibliographic DB (like WoS) when using the DB for literature search purposes. However, we found it more advantageous as it stores the metadata of publications, not the publications themselves. In addition, Scopus DB provides valuable links to publishers' websites for many publications and allows researchers to access and extract full texts quickly and conveniently.

Sincerely,

Author
