Resolution of Expression of Concern

The journal’s editorial office and journal editors are jointly issuing a resolution to the Expression of Concern [1] on the article “Antioxidant, Antigenotoxic, and Hepatic Ameliorative Effects of Quercetin/Zinc Complex on Cadmium-Induced Hepatotoxicity and Alterations in Hepatic Tissue Structure” by Moamen S. Refat, Reham Z. Hamza, Abdel Majid A. Adam, Hosam A. Saad, Adil A. Gobouri, Ehab Aza, Fawziah A. Al-Salmi, Tariq A. Altalhi, Ebtihal Khoja, Ahmed Gaber, Samy M. El-Megharbel [2].
After publication of this article, concerns were raised about the integrity of the peer review process within the Special Issue “Biomedical Application of Natural Plant Extracts”. After a thorough review of the peer review process for this article, and evaluation by the Editorial Board, the journal is satisfied that the publication of this paper was not as a result of manipulated peer review.
The Expression of Concern is therefore lifted.
