The Social Science Editorial Office retracts the article, “Analysis of the Legal Framework Governing Gas Flaring in Nigeria’s Upstream Petroleum Sector and the Need for Overhauling” (Olujobi 2020), cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the publisher regarding overlap and redundancy between this publication (Olujobi 2020) and two other publications.
Adhering to our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board that confirmed the duplication of content between this article (Olujobi 2020) and two other publications (Olujobi and Olusola-Olujobi 2019, 2020). Given the earlier publication date of Olujobi and Olusola-Olujobi (2020), the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board have decided to retract this publication as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30, (accessed on 7 February 2024)).
