Author Response

Dear reviewer,

thank you for the positive review of our article, we really appreciate it.

Reviewer 2 Report

In the literature review, currently the article covers Balance Scorecard and Controlling as current performance management, measure and monitoring system/process. It would be a good idea to review some more similar but recently proposed processes as well to increase the currency of the article. For example, in an article from Rozario, Sophia Diana, et al. "Enabling Corporate Sustainability from a Talent Acquisition Perspective." Journal of Sustainability Research 2.2 (2020). there is a model (DSRVG MODEL) proposed for talent acquisition purpose and uses measures and monitors the performance of the interview applicant. A review on such newly proposed models along with seminal processes like the Balance Scorecard and Controlling would add more value.

Otherwise, all other sections have been outlined very well and presented with care and consideration. It was a good read.

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

thank you for your positive review and inspiring comments, which contributed to the improvement of the quality of our article. According to your notes, the literature review section was supplemented by selected research studies related to performance measurement systems, as well as systems for talented employees. These studies have helped us to fill the research gap in the issue we addressed.

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear Author,

I was happy to read this paper which provides promising research. Your paper is interesting and addresses an emerging topic.

The authors examine “Increasing the Efficiency of Business Management Using Innovative Management Methods and Tools” is an interesting work concerning the study of innovative methods in business management in the tourism sector.

On the one hand, I found the paper to be overall well written and much of it to be well described. I felt confident that the authors performed careful and thorough field processing. The paper has an overall good structure and I only have a few comments and remarks meant to improve its addressability to the readers. However, I would like to point out some aspects to improve their manuscript. I explain my concerns in more detail below. I ask that the authors specifically address each of my comments in their response.

-TITLE. It is advisable to match the title of the article to its content. It would be advisable to refer to the tourism industry in the title.

-ABSTRACT: Must reduce the number of words and conform to journal guidelines: A single paragraph of about 200 words max.

-INTRODUCTION. It is recommended to include a paragraph on the original contribution of the article and its contribution to the advancement of knowledge. It is also recommended to justify the interest of the choice of the Slovak Republic as the territorial unit of study.

-MATERIALS AND METHODS. The representativeness of the sample must be justified. 515 questionnaires were sent out and 105 responses were obtained, is this sample representative. Also, it is recommended that the choice of method be better justified, incorporating references to other studies.

-CITATION. The citation should be revised, in the article, I have found misquoted literal text. For example, in lines 46 - 52 literal text is taken from the following reference: Attila, A. T. The Impact of the Hotel Industry on the Competitiveness of Tourism Destinations in Hungary. Journal of Competi-403 tiveness 2016, 8, 85-104. However, that text is not cited in quotation marks, nor is pagination indicated. For citations embedded in the text with pagination, use both parentheses and brackets to indicate the reference number and page numbers; for example, [5] (p. 10), or [6] (pp. 101-105). On the other hand, you should revise the reference section and adapt it to the journal's guidelines:

(Aranceta-Bartrina 1999a) Aranceta-Bartrina, Javier. 1999a. Title of the cited article. Journal Title 6: 100–10.

(Aranceta-Bartrina 1999b) Aranceta-Bartrina, Javier. 1999b. Title of the chapter. In Book Title, 2nd ed. Edited by Editor 1 and Editor 2. Publication place: Publisher, vol. 3, pp. 54–96.

In sum, I again thank you for giving me this opportunity to learn from your research project and I wish you the very best.

Best Regards,

Round 2

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear author,

I believe that the authors have made a remarkable effort to improve the article. They have expanded the bibliography and included current references. They have also included some additional description of the method. They have incorporated and justified the limitations of the study. They have justified its importance by adding some academic contributions that have previously used this method.  They have also adapted the article to the journal's standards (abstract and citation).

As for the territorial unit of analysis, although its range remains limited, the authors have included some arguments that could justify their choice.

Wish you all the best. Best regards,
