Reviewer 2 Report

This paper presents an obstacle avoidance control strategy for an underactuated quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle with motor loss-of-effectiveness fault and disturbance. In the reviewers' opinion, there are some confusing issues which have weaken the whole development. Please see the following issues:

1. The introduction is the head of an essay, the first paragraph of which shows the importance of the area studied. The reviewer felt that the author should have added some references to the background of UAV as appropriate.

2. Where is the "generate a new path" proposed in the first contribution of this article generated? The author is expected to answer with reference to Figure 2.

3. There are some flaws in the format of the pictures in the article. For example, the size of Figure 2 is a little too large; Figure 3 to Figure 8 the legend is slightly smaller and so on. Therefore, the author should adjust the picture format appropriately.

4. There are some defects in the formula format of this paper. For example, symbols are similar in formula selection between lines 223 and 224, which may easily lead to misunderstandings among readers. Therefore, the author should adjust the formula format appropriately.
