Research on the Influences of Task Interdependence on Team Performance in the Context of the Leader–Member Exchange Differentiation in the Public–Private Partnership Projects
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
1. Each part of the literature review is not coherent enough and lacks effective logical connections.
2. Are the findings applicable to be extended to other developing countries as well as developed countries?

The article examines the relationship between task interdependence, team reflection, team performance, and leader-member exchange differentiation in PPP projects in China. The study uses a mediated model and survey data from 168 PPP project teams. The findings suggest that task interdependence has an indirect negative impact on team performance through the mediating role of team reflection, and that leader-member exchange differentiation moderates this relationship. The study provides new ideas for improving PPP project team performance and team operation mechanism.
1. The sound of sustainability: The article mentions sustainability in passing, but it is not the main focus of the study. The article briefly discusses the sustainability features of the PPP projects surveyed, but the main focus is on the relationship between task interdependence, team reflection, team performance, and leader-member exchange differentiation.
2. Title: The authors should use the full name of PPP instead of abbreviation.
3. Introduction: The authors should state the linkage between “sustainability” and task interdependence, team reflection, team performance, and leader-member exchange differentiation in PPP projects in China. How many PPP related sustainability in China? (%), How can the higher team performance have reflected to the sustainability?
4. Discussion: section 5.2 should be renamed to “Discussion” and the author should add section 5.3 “Managerial implication” to elaborate the contributions of this research.
5. Citation: The citation in-text should be changed. Authors should use only one reference style as the journal suggests. The ACS system is preferred, not APA.
The English language is well.

This paper discusses on the Influences of Task Interdependence on Team Performance in the Context of the Leader-Member Exchange Differentiation in the PPP Projects. the research topic is interesting but current version of the manuscript need some revisions to can be acceptable.
Please ensure consistency in using different key terms.
Please improve the introduction section by providing the background, gaps, and contributions of the study in a more specific way.
The significance and innovation in the research problem should be explained.
The authors should prepare a table to highlight the previous contributions and research gaps in a more robust way. The recent references must be cited and explained. The references from top journals should be explored such as:

Please highlight the novelty of the methodology applied in this study. This is the weakest point of this paper.
Please add a comprehensive description on figure 2 and table 6.
The result analysis should be improved based on the unique findings, interesting insights, and how these results will be useful to the practice.
More experiments and sensitivity analyses can be conducted.
Please ensure consistency in using different key terms.
