In this manuscript, the authors attempted to measure the amount of TRWPs generated on roadsides caused by temperature differences. This manuscript presented solid data, but improvement has to be made to warrant its acceptance to this journal. I have the following concerns:

1.     Abstract section. L22-26, it is better to put the future research direction and research limitations into the Conclusions.

2.     The number of the keywords is suggested to be 3-5, or specifically according to journal requirements.

3.     The introductory part is lengthy and muddled. It can be improved

4.     Figure 2 is non-informative.

5.     L111-112, “The city has a population of 700,000 individuals and the hourly traffic volume is 1,300 vehicles, including large buses (Figure 3)”. This was not relevant to Figure 3. Actually, Figure 3 is not necessary.

6.     Results section. The authors need to provide sufficient statistics for the reviewer to determine validity and significance.

7.     L250, “among various factors including…”, the study did not involve any other that factors affect the amount of TRWPs generated. And this sentence repeats the meaning of the previous sentence “The results indicate that the amount of TRWPs increases as the external temperature increases”.

8.     Unfortunately, the Discussion part is not developed enough and additional pieces of evidence and discussions should be provided.
