Thanks for pointing out the English inaccuracies. A language revision has been performed on the paper.

Figure 1:

Drainage network colors do not correspond to the one in the Legend.

2.There is a linear symbol (red-white stripes) in the map that does not appear in the Legend.

Red striped linear symbol in the map has a different width in the Legend. Please rephrase "Stream network Strahler order" to "Drainage network - Strahler classification". Please remove North arrow. Vertical grid line indicates the direction of North.

 

Thanks for noticing and pointing out these inconsistencies. Corrections have been performed in the new figure 1.

Row 118-119

Please add a lithological map. If the basin is strongly influenced by geology then it is important to show it on a separate map.

Thanks for pointing out this aspect. In the first draft of the manuscript we had included a geological sketch map (see below), but then decided not to include it because of the high number of Figures and Tables already present in the paper. Our line of reasoning for this choice was the consideration of the non-strictly geological nature of the paper. We though that the text explaining the general geology of the area could be enough. Indeed, if there are no limits with the number of figures we could reinsert it in the manuscript. The geological map is hereafter.

 

Lithological sketch map of Bisagno catchment: a) alluvial deposits (Quaternary), d) debris cover, arg) stiff fissured clays, cm) marly limestone flysch, ag) clayey shales, as) marls and slates.

 

Another reason not to include the geological map was that the visual abstract of the paper does provide a glance of the overall geological setting of the study area. The visual abstract is possibly a more significant sketch map regarding the aim of the paper. Please find this map hereafter.

Colors have been rectified and now the red color correspond to urbanization.

I can see some streams in red over the NNW part of the map. Why not the rest of the drainage network? Either add it all or remove it all.

The red lines in the NNW part of the map are meant to symbolize debris flows (not streams).

I am not sure if this term is correct. Do you mean boost?

In formatting the previous version of the manuscript, a part of the legend of Fig. 11 was accidently erased: the full legend has been restored.

 

The numbers in brackets correspond to the number of elements/businesses in the respective classes. Colors have been used to differentiate classes exposed to floods and to landslides elements.

This is an interesting paper, a significant contribution to understanding the mechanisms behind geo-hydrological hazards. It is ready for publication, but, as the authors already present a record of landslides betwen 1900 and 2019, they are advised to consider that space-and-time planning for land management in the future, particularly in mediterranean areas and particularly in the case of environmental adversities, should follow the “inherent” spatial and temporal scales of the environmental hazard itself and not of the scales “imposed” by beaurocratic procedures. The way to make this can be seen in

Papadimitriou,F. & Mairota, P. (1996). Spatial Scale-Dependent Policy Planning for Land Management in Southern Europe. Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 39(1-3)47-57.
