The authors present the synthesis, and structural analysis of 3-(5-Phenyl-2H-tetrazol-2-yl)pyridine.

Concerning the descriptive aspect of the investigated problem the paper fulfills the goals proposed by the authors. Nevertheless, there are some minor questions which should be clarified.

ü The Introduction need to be rewritten in order to reduce the size of the Short Note. The paragraph between lines 50 and 53, is not clear if this is a previous one, or is part of the current study. It needs to be different introduced, and the Table 1 can be removed. On the basis of the same considerate, scheme 2 can be removed.

ü  The caption of the Figure 3 must include the fact that the structure was obtained from XRD experiment, and the caption of the Figure 4 must include the fact that is the theoretical structure obtained from DFT B3LYP quantum chemistry calculation

ü  All the abbreviation must be introduced before used. See 4Å MS in Materials and Methods.

ü  The authors should have been more careful when submitting the manuscript for publication because in its present form, with some of the paragraphs highlighted, it looks like a compilation rather than a single article.

Having in view this consideration I recommended the publication of this article in Molbank after minor revision.

Response:

In the introduction, it is important for us to show that compounds of the 2-hetaryl-5-R-tetrazole type are not readily available, and the methods for their synthesis are extremely laborious and dangerous. Therefore, we ask that scheme 2 be left untouched.

We agree that Table 1 may be redundant. The computer prediction of the biological activity that was carried out using the PASS complex (in paragraph lines 50-53) was made by us preliminary. Based on this prediction, we further plan to do a full-fledged docking analysis and conduct an in vitro study of the synthesized substance. Therefore, we decided not to single out the computer prediction of the biological activity in a separate chapter of the article and show these preliminary results of the study in the introduction. In our opinion, this can provide the logic of the presentation. In view of the above, we ask you to leave the version of the introduction set out in this version.

2. The caption of the Figure 3 must include the fact that the structure was obtained from XRD experiment, and the caption of the Figure 4 must include the fact that is the theoretical structure obtained from DFT B3LYP quantum chemistry calculation

Response:

The Figure 4 matches its caption and shows the atomic numbering of compound 1, whose structure was confirmed by X-ray analysis. We removed the phrase "as well as calculated by means of DFT B3LYP method" to avoid confusion.

3. All the abbreviation must be introduced before used. See 4Å MSin Materials and Methods.
