Reviewer 2 Report

This ia a well presented research work aimed at proposing further investigation on benzbromarone as repurposed drug for the treatment of subset of amyloidosis.

The Authors are expert in the field and the discoveries described in the text are original and obtained with appropriate methodologies that are in their competence.

Despite the preliminary nature of the results this referee is confident that their strenght supports further development. However, one wonders whether the Authors have patented their proposal of repurposing before submitteìing their data for publication.
