Vahid Hasannaeimi obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of North Texas (2019), where he studied electrochemical and catalytic behavior of metallic glasses. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UNT. He received his M.S. from Tarbiat Modares University (2011) in Materials Science and Engineering, where he worked on the development of corrosion-resistant nanocomposite coatings. His research interests include surface degradation mechanisms in materials, functional and structural coatings, and in situ corrosion mechanisms in multiphase alloys.
