“In modern scientific world it is sometimes hard for researchers to timely publish their valuable results. The peer review process could take up to 6 months before reaching a first decision. Such delays are not welcomed by funding agencies and can postpone the timely project reporting. It was my first experience with IJMS and I was very comfortable to get my work published in less than 50 days. Interestingly, I was able to communicate with the editorial staff if encountered any problem throughout the publication process. Personally I think the peer review process is ideal in IJMS and could be followed by other journals. I would recommend to opt this journal based on one's results.”

“I had started writing my review unsure of its destination journal. When I was approached by the guest editors of the IJMS special issue on plant cell wall proteins it was an apparent choice. Submission was extremely fast and simple compared to many other journals (30 minutes at max.). Given the length of my MS, the initial review was relatively fast (ca. 4 weeks). The following revisions and edits were mostly straightforward because the MS had already been correctly formatted. A minor problem during the proof phase was a confusion of the order of references. However, after my call for help to the editor, this was fixed in a breeze. Taken together, publishing in IJMS was a thoroughly pleasant experience.”

“Recently, I was asked to contribute a review article to a special issue of IJMS about plant-pathogen interactions. From the beginning I had very nice and professional contacts with the editorial office and the Editor. I appreciated so much the rapidity and efficiency of peer review process. The ms was reviewed by 3 referees and their suggestions were very helpful in improving it. The ms was published within a month from the first submission. I also appreciated the discount on publication fees following my activity as reviewer for IJMS.”

“It was a great pleasure to publish our review "Mechanisms of Sodium Transport in Plants-Progresses and Challenges" in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. The overall experience with IJMS beginning with peer-review to publication was very professional and swift. Most importantly, the critical analysis of the manuscript and suggestions by the reviewers were immensely helpful in improvising the manuscript.”

“This has been our first article submitted to and published in IJMS Special Issue: “In Vitro Transcriptome Response to a Mixture of Lactobacilli Strains in Intestinal Porcine Epithelial Cell Line”. In contrast to other journals also open access for which I have been waited more than one year to receive an answer the peer review process was very fast in IJSM. The reviewers’s comments were very well addressed and contributed to the improvement of our paper. I really ppreciated the professionalism of the editorial team and all these convinced me to submit others papers to IJMS and to recommend it to other colleagues.”

“As clearly shown by its impact factor International Journal of Molecular Sciences occupies a well deserved highly prestigious status among interdisciplinary researchers in chemical and physical sciences. For me IJMS is in the top three choices to present our studies. The journal team provides one of the finest and worthiest professional experiences in the field of scientific publishing both for its authors and readers: from provision of prompt, constructive and quality peer review, to preparation of article with best language clarity and appearance and subsequent dissemination of the research so that it can reach broad audience and achieve maximum impact.”

“This has been our first experience of publishing in an open access journal and submitted to IJMS because of the Special Issue “Molecular Research on Pulmonary Hypertension”. The review process was of a very high scientific standard, and as good as more widely known journals; the big difference was the rapidity of response, where comprehensive comments were communicated to us in just over a week. We can recommend the professionalism of the editorial team, who were on hand practically 24/7 to respond to queries. We would be happy to submit papers to IJMS again, and highly recommend others to also.”

“In the past two years, I have published three research papers and two review articles in Int J Mol Sci. This has been an extremely stimulating and rewarding experience. At each of these five occasions, the whole process from peer-review to publication was very professional and fast, thanks to a team of highly efficient and professional editorial staff. In addition, we really appreciated very much the highly constructive reviewers’ comments to increase the quality of our manuscripts. Upon acceptance of the manuscripts, the papers were published online within only a few days and rapidly got attention, as shown by the viewing statistics.”
