Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Infectious diseases are illnesses caused by pathogens. The timely diagnosis of the pathogens causing disease is important for the prompt treatment of such infectious diseases. As antimicrobial resistance has increased in recent decades, the rapid detection of pathogens has become crucial to improve clinical outcomes and prevent the development of drug resistance.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews focused on all aspects of infectious diseases are welcome, especially those focused on diagnosis and treatment. The epidemiology of drug-resistant pathogens will also be considered. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following: surveillance studies conducted in hospitals and communities, newly discovered resistant pathogens, newly therapeutic strategies, new detection methods, and novel resistance mechanisms.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
