Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue focuses on infectious disease epidemiology and public health. Although according to the epidemiological transition, the major causes of death and morbidity today are NCDs, infectious diseases, specially re-emerging ones, are important for public health. Thus, we are pleased to invite different types of papers in this Special Issue to fill the gaps and strengthen our knowledge regarding public health, which can improve approaches to the prevention and control of infectious diseases. This Special Issue aims to:

  • Describe the status of infectious diseases with the highest burden in the world;
  • Evidence the best approaches for prevention and control of those infectious diseases with the highest burden with an efficient, scientifically sound approach;
  • Introduce the best methods for early diagnosis and screening of common infectious diseases with the highest burden in the world;
  • Summarizing evidence according to the effectiveness and efficiency of different approaches, specifically according to the public health point of view, to control infectious diseases, with a systematic review approach.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
