Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

People have speculated for a long time on the possibility of life outside the Earth. Only in recent centuries have we been able to explore the specific nature of other planets around our solar system. In the near future, we will face a paradigm shift in our perception of life, involving the exponential expansion of human knowledge and humankind’s view of the world and nature.

We would like to invite you to submit a paper to a Special Issue on the “Origin, Evolution, Distribution, and Future of Life in the Universe”. The main objective of this Special Issue is to understand where we come from and where we are going. The Issue falls into the field of astrobiology with regard to the study of the origins of life, the early evolution of life, the question of whether there exists extraterrestrial life, and the future of life in the Universe. The broad focus of this Issue includes not just life in the Universe but also relevant observation, analog laboratory experiments, and theoretical research on life.
