10th Anniversary of Systems

This year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Systems, a peer-reviewed open-access journal on systems theory in practice, including fields such as systems engineering management, systems-based project planning in urban settings, health systems, environmental management and complex social systems. Systems has published more than 600 papers from more than 600 authors. More than 1200 reviewers have submitted at least one review report. We value the contributions of authors and reviewers. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging a series of special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

Development and Achievements

The Inaugural Issue was released and Systems was published as a quarterly journal.



Systems was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



The International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS) became affiliated with Systems.



Systems was selected for coverage in the Scopus indexing database.



Systems was indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and received its first CiteScore of 0.6.



Systems received its first Journal Impact Factor of 2.895. The Citescore calculated in 2022 was 4.3.



Systems adopted a monthly publication schedule.
