Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In the industrial process, the output of heavy metal solid waste is relatively large, which poses a threat to the natural ecological environment. To this end, it is necessary to promote the utilization rate of heavy metal solid wastes.

The Special issue mainly includes several researches about the treatment of toxic substances, including heavy metals, organic pollutants, toxic inorganic, etc., in solids wastes, and accordingly the comprehensive utilization of toxic solid wastes. This is largely consistent with the scope of Sustainability, which is an international journal devoted to the publication of original research on the topic of environment protection.

 The suggested themes are as follows, but are not limited to:

  • Sustainability assessment;
  • Risk management;
  • Heavy metal contamination;
  • Novel methods for the removal of toxic substances in wastes;
  • Solid and hazardous waste.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
