Awards
For each volume, Sci. Pharm. grants an award to the author(s) of the most cited paper published in the journal. According to databse ‘Web of Science Core Collection' (Clarivate Analytics), all articles of a year are analyzed and the article with the most citations in the following year qualifies for this prize: an official certificate together with the 1 ounce Vienna Philharmonic Coin. This renowned Austrian coin shows the world famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and is coined in the year when the article was published.Criteria for ranking
All scientific articles (research articles + short communications) of a volume are analyzed in summer of the 2nd year after the publication of the volume (after the release of Clarivate Analytics’s Journal Citation Reports®) and are ranked according to the number of their citations in the year following publication. When no clear decision is possible, the article with the smaller number of self cites (of all authors) is selected. If then still two or more articles have the same number of citations, the citation award is split. However, any decision is solely upon the editorial office (based upon the above described data source), and there is no legal recourse.
