Dear Colleagues,
Interest in sensors based on optical technology and, in particular, those based on optical fibers grew rapidly in the last years. High-performance sensor devices and platforms with high-sensitivity, selectivity, and a low limit of detection values have been proposed.
This Special Issue dedicated to optical fiber sensors, will focus on recent advances and developments in optical sensor technology. This can be in the form of an original research paper or review. The goal is to gather contributions on various aspects related to optical fiber sensors, namely, new types of optical fibers, optical sources, devices in optical fibers (FBG, LPG, interferometers, etc.), and their applications.
I hope this Special Issue will provide the scientific community with a thorough overview of current research on optical fiber sensors.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Photonics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
