Cardiolinc™ is an international research network focusing on cardiovascular disease, the main cause of death worldwide. Cardiolinc’s main goal is to advance research in the cardiovascular field and develop precision medicine by understanding the role of regulatory RNAs in cardiovascular disease. Cardiolinc™ fosters interdisciplinary collaborations and exchanges, stimulates research and supports information transfer. The network connects scientists, clinicians, and industry members worldwide from multiple disciplines, such as cardiology, genetics, molecular biology and computational sciences.

At the end of 2017, Cardiolinc™ and Non-Coding RNA formed a partnership. In order to strengthen this collaboration, Non-Coding RNA opened a Topical Collection, guest-edited by Yvan Devaux and Clarissa P. da C. Gomes, two members of Cardiolinc™.

This Topical Collection focuses on understanding the role of regulatory RNAs (miRNAs, lncRNAs, circRNAs) in cardiovascular development and disease and their potential as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Non-Coding RNA and Cardiolinc™ encourage all researchers working in the field to submit their research articles and reviews to this Topical Collection to stimulate advances in this important research field.
