Dear Colleagues,
Biofuels and biolubricants are arising to be suitable alternatives for traditional petroleum products, offering an excellent and sustainable way to reduce the harmful impacts on the environment. In recent years, there has been an ongoing discovery of biofuels and biolubricants from natural products as well as their derivates, and this has become one of the most exciting areas in the production of biofuels and biolubricants. Therefore, it is essential to fabricate biofuels and biolubricants in a green and sustainable manner. It is worthwhile noting that the biorefinery concept of integrated green processes for the production of biofuels and biolubricants can minimize the production of byproducts, as well as add value and potential to all substances and materials by different technologies throughout the production process.
This Special Issue intends to capture the current state-of-the-art and contemporary technologies in this field for the production of biofuels and biolubricants following the principles of green and sustainable manners. Original papers that describe new discoveries for the production of biofuels and biolubricants based on novel feedstocks, treatments, catalysis, usage, and some logistical and economic aspects are most welcome. Review articles should address recent advances in the development of research methodologies and technologies in the production of biofuels and biolubricants. We look forward to receiving your manuscript.
