A section of Molecules (ISSN 1420-3049).

Section Information

A so-called “renaissance” in electrochemistry is being witnessed, with a flurry of research activity and interest. This is an exciting time, with opportunities for advancements abound—the field is becoming more and more broad and rich.

The Electrochemistry Section of the journal Molecules aims to publish original research and timely review articles, and we invite authors to submit manuscripts dealing with, but not exclusive to, the following topics:

  • Electrocatalysis;
  • Mechanisms of electron transfer;
  • The design, development, and applications of new redox mediators;
  • The synergistic uses of photochemistry and electrochemistry;
  • The development of new synthetic methods/transformations based upon the use of electrochemistry;
  • The use of electrochemical transformations as key steps for natural product and materials synthesis;
  • The development and application of novel sensors and sensor technology;
  • Energy storage and utilization;
  • Sustainability and Green Chemistry;
  • Flow chemistry—advantageous applications in electrochemistry.
