Applied Chemistry

A section of Molecules (ISSN 1420-3049).

Section Information

The Applied Chemistry Section of the journal Molecules publishes original research and timely review articles covering all aspects of Applied Chemistry. The Section aims to update our knowledge on all related fields of chemistry, including applied inorganic chemistry, applied organic chemistry, and applied electrochemistry, toward advancing the development of Applied Chemistry and thus benefiting society.

To be considered for inclusion this Section, all presented work must clearly relate to applied chemical knowledge, i.e., research on new chemical synthesis in relation to applied chemistry. On the other hand, characterization is necessary, and studies presenting mechanism insight are encouraged.

In particular (but not exclusively), this Section invites contributions that report on:

  • Application-related studies on the synthesis/preparation of new molecules/materials;
  • New application-related analytical method and techniques;
  • New application-related physical and theoretical chemistry output, especially regarding applied electrochemistry and catalysis;
  • Energy- and environment-related works;
  • Chemistry-related studies on new materials and medicines;
  • Other applied chemistry-related studies.
