We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Metabolites 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Tao Huan. 

Dr. Tao Huan is an Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC, Canada. Dr. Tao Huan’s research interests are in analytical method development, metabolomics data processing, and metabolite annotation. Dr. Tao Huan received his PhD in 2015 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 82 publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Tao Huan’s Scopus scientific citations number 3175, and his Hirsch index is 27. He is clearly a rising star in the field of metabolomics. As a co-applicant, Dr. Tao Huan has secured funding of more than CAD 13 million since 2018. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Tao Huan for his outstanding achievements. 

As the awardee, Dr. Tao Huan will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 2024 in Metabolites after peer review, and an electronic certificate.
