Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The emergence of multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) infection creates challenges for physicians. The current literature cannot give solid evidence to support the standard therapy of MDRO infections. Currently available antimicrobial treatment options are often limited, ineffective, and associated with many adverse effects. In the real world, physicians may use some alternative treatments according to some in vitro data or personal experiences, and many scientists have developed antibiotic alternative therapy against MDRO, such as bacteriophage, probiotics, antimicrobial peptides, and herbs. We welcome all kinds of study (including in vitro data, animal model, clinical series) about alternative therapy, including antibiotic and non-antibiotic strategy for MDRO infections.
