Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Hair and scalp disorders, such as scarring and non-scarring alopecia, as well as inflammatory conditions, represent a great psychological burden for patients, with a severe impact on their quality of life. To date, the research activity in trichology is fervid, with novel findings in the field of pathophysiology, genetics, diagnosis and treatment. Moreover, the advent of personalized medicine may have an interesting role in patients with hair disorders.

The Special Issue “Current Updates in Hair and Scalp Disorders” welcomes manuscripts addressing any aspects of scalp and hair disorder research, from molecular studies to diagnostic tools (confocal microscopy, OCT, trichoscopy) and therapeutic strategies. We are pleased to invite you and your colleagues around the world to submit research articles, reviews and systematic reviews covering these topics.
