Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Many journals deal with various topics related to applied mathematics and its application to different aspects of physics and technology. In this Special Issue, we want to compile in one volume the new paths related to this field, in order to create a more unified vision of all that applied mathematics and mathematical physics represent in their multidisciplinary aspects. In addition, this Special Issue aims to explore the latest avenues that are opening up in this field and prospects for the future.

We call for researchers to define the strengths in the field of mathematics and its use in many disciplines of physics and technology. Examples include astrophysics, data processing, economics, medicine, education, the environment and issues related to climate change. These are some of the issues in which we are immersed on a daily basis and which society has to take into account when it comes to a paradigm shift, focusing on all that science can contribute in terms of people and not the goods we produce, in order to function toward the common good and the human good.

Thus, submissions on numerical applications related to various facets of life movements are welcomed. Linear algebra, differential calculus or big data processing embrace these current points. Additionally, the implementation of more theoretical questions (such as general relativity, gravity or quantum physics) to practical applications such as satellite processing or computation are topics of interest in this Special Issue. The diversity of the section is very broad, with the unifying theme of applicability to questions encountered in everyday life.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
