Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The journal Materials is inviting articles, letters, reviews, and perspective views on this Special Issue on “Sodium-Ion Batteries: From Basic Research to Application”. In recent years, sodium-ion batteries have attracted considerable attention as prospective novel devices due to their abundance of raw materials, low cost, and excellent electrochemical performance. Therefore, not only basic studies on cathodes, anodes, electrolytes, and separators but also practical applications are welcome. We look forward to contributions from researchers and experts from around the world.
The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Cathodes (layered transition metal oxides, polyanionic compounds, and Prussian blue analogues);
- Anodes (carbon, metal oxide/sulfide/phosphide, alloy, sodium metal anode, organic materials);
- Electrolytes (regular electrolytes and functional electrolytes);
- Separators;
- Applications.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Materials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
