Dear Colleagues,
The aim of this Special Issue is to present the current progresses in the field of advanced electrode materials for next-generation “beyond lithium ion” batteries, such as sodium/potassium/zinc ion battery, lithium sulfur battery, lithium air battery and son on. With the materials-level advancements in LIBs approaching their limits, the demands for lower cost and higher energy density and the growing concerns related to natural resources have triggered the investigation of so-called “beyond Li-ion” technologies. It is unlikely that one single “beyond Li-ion technology” will address all issues of Li-ion. In this Special Issue, we aim to gather and facilitate research on advanced electrode materials to discuss the current status of various technologies and the aspects in which they may outperform Li-ion.
It is my pleasure to invite you to submit a manuscript to this Special Issue. Full papers, communications, and reviews are all welcome.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
