Dental Biomaterials

A section of Journal of Functional Biomaterials (ISSN 2079-4983).

Section Information

The Section on Dental Biomaterials aims to stimulate worldwide researchers to share their most interesting and innovative works on the evolution of new biomaterials related to dentistry.

This section will consider multidisciplinary research on different aspects of material science technologies used in various dental and oral medicine applications.

The section welcomes high-level original research articles and systematic reviews to provide solid and reliable evidence of the in vitro and in vivo proprieties of novel dental biomaterials: no case reports/case series, preliminary data, opinions, hypotheses, or other types of minor reports will be considered.

Potential topics include but are not limited to:

Composite, polymer, bioactive materials, hydrogels, drug delivery systems, biomimetic materials, engineered scaffolds, and materials for ortho-/endodontics and prosthetics. Adhesive and dental impression materials are also included. Inorganics, such as ceramics, zirconia, and silicate cement, are also within the scope, as are papers on biocompatibility and toxicity.
