10th Anniversary of JDB

The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Journal of Developmental Biology (JDB) (ISSN 2221-3759), a peer-reviewed, open access journal on the development of multicellular organisms at the molecule, cell, tissue, organ, and whole organism levels. JDB has published over 299 papers by more than 935 authors, and nearly 515 reviewers have submitted at least one review report. We appreciate the contributions made by authors and reviewers, which have led to the continued success of our journal. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging a series of special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

The inaugural issue was released. JDB was published as a quarterly journal.



Founding Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Andy Wessels.

Prof. Dr. Andy Wessels served as the Editor-in-Chief of JDB from 2012 to 2016. He is a professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. His research interests are focused on cardiovascular development.



JDB was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



Prof. Dr. Simon J. Conway was appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for JDB.

Prof. Dr. Simon J. Conway is a professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Heart Association. He is a geneticist and developmental biologist, and his research focuses on elucidating the underlying mechanisms of impaired cardiopulmonary and nervous system dysfunction in health and disease.



JDB was indexed in Scopus—Elsevier.



JDB was indexed in PubMed—National Library of Medicine.



FAST Track for Editorial Evaluation of Already Peer-Reviewed Manuscripts.

JDB received an updated CiteScore (2019) of 4.2.
