Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Acute care surgery (ACS) is an evolving specialty encompassing trauma, intensive care, and emergency surgery. ACS teams deal with several critical life-threatening conditions (i.e., shock, respiratory failure, trauma, severe sepsis, burns, etc.). This demanding and comprehensive specialty requires continuous updates. In this regard, education and research are essential for the progress of knowledge in this challenging setting.

In this Special Issue, we welcome authors to submit papers related to ACS conditions requiring a surgical and intensive care approach.
