Within this framework, the studies in this section typically explore the cardiovascular system from the molecular, protein, cellular, tissue-engineering, organ, and/or animal model levels, translating the new discoveries from the bench to the clinic.

This section welcomes manuscripts dealing with relevant topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:

cardiovascular pathology, cardiovascular pharmacology, cardiovascular physiology, cardiovascular development, congenital heart disease, heart failure, regeneration, biomarkers, cardiac fibrosis, transcriptional regulation, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, gene regulation, transcription factors, epigenetics, HFpEF, epigenetic regulation, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, zebrafish, cardiac biology, stem cells, conduction system, bioprostheses, cardiac regeneration, tissue engineering, and disease modeling
