A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2018 Inventions Travel Award for a Junior Investigator, who will receive 600 CHF towards his travel expenses to participate at an international conference in 2018.
The 2018 Inventions Travel Award has been granted to:
Dr. Mojtaba Abdi-Jalebi, a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Cavendish Laborator y, Department of Physics, University of Cambridge, JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge, UK. Dr. Abdi-Jalebi's research focusses on fabrication and deep characterization of hybrid perovskite materials and implementing them in optoelectronic devices including solar cells, LEDs and field effect transistors (FETs) to reach high performance and long-term stability.
We would like to congratulate Dr. Abdi-Jalebi on his excellent work . We would also like to thank all applicants for their interesting and high-quality contributions and Scientific Committee members for their evaluation of the candidates.

The 2017 Inventions Travel Award has been granted to:
Dr. Reza Mehrabi, a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in the Dynamic and Smart Systems Lab at the University of Toledo, OH, USA. Dr. Mehrabi has focused on the experimental and theoretical study of a 3D constitutive model under Multiaxial loading of shape memory alloys. His research focuses on modeling smart materials, additive manufacturing and biomechanics, computer-aided engineering, computational plasticity, and metal forming processes.
We would like to congratulate him on his excellent work and would also like to thank all applicants for their interesting and high-quality contributions. We also wish to thank the Scientific Committee members for their evaluation of the candidates.
