Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Vegetables are a crucial part of agriculture around the world. Vegetables are grown wherever human habitats are found. The diversity in types, tastes, and nutritional values of vegetables are some of the major properties that make them among the most eaten foods for humans.

One of the most important limiting factors for vegetable growers is insect pests. These highly diverse insect species, in addition to their behavior, biology, and tolerance/resistance to many synthetic pesticides or pest control approaches, are difficult to manage under field conditions.

Many scholars around the world are working on resolving the issue of insect pests on vegetable crops by applying different strategies, tools, and approaches.

In this regard, in this Special Issue we want to bring the latest information together and share it to all around the world. We believe this effort will be helpful to all stakeholders including vegetable growers, researchers, extension workers, among others.

In this Special Issue, we would like to publish original or review articles broadly on biology and management of vegetable insect pests. We would like to invite you to submit your work to this Special Issue of Insects journal (impact factor 2.769).
