Journal History

2016 Infrastructures published its first volume as a quarterly journal. The founding Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Dr. Pedro Arias-Sánchez.
The journal started a cooperation with The Spanish Road Technology Platform (PTC).
2017 Infrastructures is affiliated to the International Society for Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Transport Infrastructures (iSMARTi).
Four Associate Editors were nominated by the Editor-in-Chief:

Prof. Isam Shahrour
Dr. Susana Lagüela López 
Prof. Dr. Hosin "David" Lee
2018 Infrastructures was indexed in Inspec (IET), starting from Issue 1 of 2018.
2019 Infrastructures was indexed in Scopus, starting from Volume 1.
Infrastructures announced the 2019 Travel Award Winners: Dr. Sujith Mangalathu and Mr. Cao Wang.
Five topical sections were established in Infrastructures:
Smart Infrastructures, Sustainable Infrastructures, Infrastructures and Structural Engineering, Infrastructures Inspection and Maintenance, and Infrastructures Materials and Constructions
2020 Infrastructures received its first CiteScore (2019) of 1.3.
Infrastructures announced the 2020 Travel Award Winners: Mr. Nguyen Van Te Ron and Mr. Iván Garrido González.
2021 Infrastructures was covered by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI—Web of Science).
Infrastructures received an increased CiteScore of 2.5, ranked Q2 in “Building and Construction”.
2022 Infrastructures received an increased CiteScore of 3.4, ranked Q2 in “Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology”.
The 1st International Online Conference on Infrastructures (IOCI 2022) was held on 7–9 June 2022.
2023 Infrastructures received its first Impact Factor (2022) of 2.6.
Infrastructures received an increased CiteScore (2022) of 4.3, ranked 60/200 (Q2) in “Building and Construction”.
