Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a group of disorders of the heart and blood vessels and include coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, rheumatic heart disease and other conditions. CVDs are mostly related to unhealthy behaviors, and it has been proved that we can more efficiently prevent CVDs if we understand the risk factors of these behaviors better. In this century, the treatment of cardiovascular disease has developed by leaps and bounds, but this still does not change the fact that it is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Therefore, understanding the mechanism of cardiovascular disease can help to better provide a good foundation for the development of treatment.

This Special Issue is intended to provide an opportunity for the research community to publish valuable results about mechanisms, risk factors, prevention, and treatment of CVDs. Studies that incorporate the intersection of multiple factors at different levels are particularly welcome.
