Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Eating and Weight Disorders (EWD) are disabling and life-threating diseases that affect a growing number of people worldwide. Multiple empirical data sources have recorded a significant exacerbation of EWD symptoms since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a further increase in clinical cases and cases at risk, especially in the early stages of development. Limited access to care has put the mental health of patients but also of health professionals at risk. Therefore, the development of new advancements in research and clinical practice in this field is essential.

This Special Issue aims to collect contributions that extend our knowledge of EWD, introducing innovative/updated purposes of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or preventive interventions. The most recent and relevant findings regarding advancements in methodology (e.g., new/updated tools/technologies) or treatment (e.g., virtual reality, online interventions or e-health) will be addressed.

Original research, brief reports, reviews, metanalyses and methodological studies providing new assessment tools are welcome.

We encourage authors to send an abstract and a provisional title in advance.
