The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes articles and communications in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. The subsection of Sport and Health is dedicated to advancing knowledge and providing practical use of research findings on the multiple aspects affecting sport and performance at different levels and ages (young, adults, master). The section publishes original articles, reviews and case studies focusing on the monitoring and evaluation of training and competition of elite, sub-elite, amateur and master athletes on topics including, but not limited to: physical abilities and disabilities, movement skills; biomechanics, psychology, sociology, biology, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology; match and notational analysis, techniques and tactics; development of equipment and technology; injury prevention and return to play; youth sport and talent development; sleep, recovery strategies, overtraining, functional and nonfunctional overreaching; nutritional strategy, supplementation, eating disorders and doping; recreational sport as health enhancing activity.
