Section Information
The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes articles and communications in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. The subsection of global health will focus on public health and the environment in a global perspective, with emphasis on reproductive health and the environment, including the importance of nutrition as an important interactor with exposure to contaminants. The relation between fetal health in utero and chronic diseases later in life in the context of socio-economic development, education and nutrition is an important topic. Epidemiologic studies, as well as more basic scientific studies are welcome, with a global focus and relevance. Such an example is maternal mortality, which is still high globally, and reducing it is a top priority. Teenage reproductive health will have an increased focus, especially for low- and middle-income countries. Global public health for the next generation is a very important issue that aims to prevent disease, prolong life, and promote physical, mental, and social well-being.
